Portrait® Skin Regeneration

Portrait® skin regeneration is unlike any other treatment available today. It is the first and only technology proven to deliver true skin regeneration.

While some treamements lead to improved skin only at the surface, clinically proven Portrait® alters structures below the surface, creating unique conditions for continuing regeneration and improvements in wrinkles, tone, texture and discoloration. During the short procedure, the unique scientific action of Portrait® transfers plasma energy o the treated area without direct contact to the skin. this technique preserves the skin's outer layers which act as a protective dressing until new skin regenerates.

Downtime is minimal and clinical studies show that the improvements you see following your treatment will become even more dramatic over time.

What Should I expectr following treatment?

At lower levels of treatment there will be some mild redness and flaking of the skin. At higher levels, the outer layer of skin browns and is shed 3 to 5 days after treatment. Once this occurs, the redness of the regenerated skin will last for 2-3 days. Shedding may take a little longer as the edges of the treated area. Localized redness may also linger slightly in some patients. On darker skin, the localized redness may appear as a darker spot that lightens over time.

How soon will I see a difference and how long will it last?

You will see results soon after your treatment. However, one of the most striking and unique advantages of Portrait® is that it stimulates a natural process of regeneration, producing results that progressively improve over time, Clinical studies show that this improvement progression continues for at least one compare their apperences before treatment and twelve months later.

Is the Portrait® procedure safe?

Portrait® has demonstarted anexcellent safety profile in clinical studies. It has not shown protracted periods of downtime, scarring, hypopigmentation, or prolonged hyperpimentation associated with other light or ablative laser treatments. It is also far easier to use and control than messy chemical peeling agents.

Can Portrait® be used with other treatments?

You physician will advise you on the best way to combine treatments such as Botox® or dermal filers. If you have had other procedures within the last 12 months you hsould discuss the timing of your Portrait® procedure with your physician.

Microneedling

This procedure promotes an increase in collagen, reduces wrinkles, decreases acne scars, even skin tone and promotes hair growth. Microneedling uses the application of a numbing cream to reduce any discomfort. An automated pen- like instrument filled with a cartridge of very fine short needles is applied all over the skin of the area to be treated. Since the machine is automated, the procedure is relatively quick. The procedure is painless and tolerable. It has very little downtime. Microneedling can be paired with anti-aging preparations that will penetrate better though needle punctures.

Ebrium

The skin is the largest organ in our bodies. It protects us from infection and shields us from harmful substances.

However, as we age, the effects of the sun, wind, time and hormones begin to show.

At first fine lines appear around our eyes and lips. Then, as the collagen beneath our skin wears out, deeper wrinkles begin to appear. Surface irregularities such as pigment discolorations and acne scarring may also occur.

In the past, the treatments of choice for these conditions were dermabrasion or chemical peels. In dermabrasion, layers of skin are actually sanded away and in chemical peels, layers of skin are burned away with an acid solution.

The Erbium Laser The Erbium laser is the latest advance for the treatment of aging and sun-damaged skin. The Erbium laser provides a safer, more accurate and less painful method of restoring softer, smoother, more youthful-appearing skin. In most cases, patients can have their procedure performed in the doctor's office and be home that same day.

Erbium laser skin resurfacing is a procedure specifically designed to remove superficial and moderately deep lines and wrinkles on the face. The Erbium laser produces less heating or burning of surrounding tissues than other lasers used for resurfacing. This allows your doctor to gently and comfortably vaporize the damaged skin cells layer by layer. Most cases require only a local or topical anesthetic. Recent studies have shown that the Erbium laser stimulates the production of collagen, creating a tightening and smoothing of the skin.

The recovery?
Skin resurfacing with the cool light of the Erbium laser results in less post-operative redness, less swelling and provides a more rapid healing than with other skin resurfacing methods. In most cases, patients are fully recovered and back to normal activities within 7-10 days. Following the procedure, the treated areas are kept moist with ointment and/or occlusive dressings for the first few days. Post-operatively, there is a period of healing which is generally completed within five to seven days. Sunblock should be applied when in the sun. Make-up can be worn after the first week. Over the next few weeks, your fresh, new, pink skin will fade to a normal tone revealing a softer, smoother, younger look. Our patients love their results. Some say they actually feel younger.
